Moda Blockheads 4 #13 - Designed by Me!

Even after 40 years of quilting and 20 years of designing, quarter-square triangles (QST) are still one of my favorites. I love the way they show off the fabrics I use and the simplicity of putting together the blocks. 

So, for my Moda Blockheads 4 block design, Evening Delight, I chose a basic, but stunning center square surrounded by quarter-square triangles. Directions and more about me can be found here.

I’m using my newest collection, Kawa (shipping in September 2022) for all of my Moda Blockheads 4 blocks and the results are wonderful! It's so satisfying to see the fabrics transformed into blocks ready for assembly into a final quilt.

A couple of my best tips for cutting and sewing:

• Accurate cutting is important and well worth the time. Your quilting life will be much more enjoyable if your pieces are cut accurately. 
• Enjoy the process and don't worry if your points are not perfect. Beautiful fabric will shine even if your piecing isn't precise.

My love of Shibori dyeing has taken me all over the world to study with amazing artists and the pairing of that knowledge with the Moda Blockheads designs is very inspirational.
